Before you submit

A personal recording can still include protected music, artwork, performances or footage. The contributor and organizer must have the rights needed to include that material in the private montage and to share the finished film with its intended viewers. Gatherfox’s upload-audio control requires an attestation covering master and synchronization rights.

02

Send a copyright notice

Email contact@foxdenlabs.com. A complete notice should include:

  • Your full name, contact details and authority to act for the rights holder.
  • A clear description of the copyrighted work and the allegedly infringing material.
  • The project or viewing URL, or another identifier precise enough for us to locate the material. Do not send contributor receipt links unless necessary.
  • A good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
  • A statement that the notice is accurate and, where applicable, made under penalty of perjury, followed by your physical or electronic signature.

What happens next

We may temporarily restrict the identified material while reviewing a complete notice. We will normally notify the organizer and give them a reasonable opportunity to respond unless law or safety prevents it. We may ask the reporter for missing information and will reject notices that do not identify material we can locate.

04

Counter-notice

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, reply with your contact details, the removed material and location, why you believe removal was mistaken, consent to the appropriate legal jurisdiction where required, and a physical or electronic signature. We may restore material when legally permitted unless the claimant begins a qualifying legal action.

05

Repeated infringement and misuse

We may terminate organizers or block contributors who repeatedly infringe rights in appropriate circumstances. Knowingly false notices or counter-notices can cause harm and legal liability. This process is not legal advice; consult a qualified lawyer if you are unsure about your rights.
